Asante Kotoko SC is officially without management following the decision of Manhyia to dissolve the board of directors. The home of Kotoko Patron, His Royal Majesty Otumfou Osei Tutu II appointed 12-member board to steer the affairs of the Premiership club but after three-years he has dissolved it due to performance.
The dissolution of the board means, management team of the outfit is also relieved since, it was the board that appointed them.
Nana Yaw Amponsah, is therfore no more the Chief Executive officer hence, position vacant. Several names have being linked to the position including young football administrator Frederick Acheampong.
However, former Ashanti Gold SC CEO and now GHALCA Chairman Kudjoe Fiannoo has expressed his willingness to join Asante Kotoko as CEO, if approached.
He expressed respect between the management of Asante Kotoko and its fans.
“If I have the strength and an approach is made by Manhyia for me to become the CEO of Asante Kotoko, why not, I will consider it and work for Kotoko,” he said.
“If the management of Kotoko gives maximum respect to the fans and the fans also give absolute support to management and finally the club recruits quality players, I’m confident that the team (Kotoko) will rise again.”
