Ghanaian freelance vlogger/YouTuber, Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon, popularly known by brand name Wode Maya has retrieved his YouTube channel.
News broke in on Thursday, February 23, that, the Wode Maya’s YouTube channel with 1.2M+ subscribers has been hacked, with over 1000 videos on the channel being deleted.
Many Ghanaian personalities like, Jessica Opare Safo, Ameyaw Debrah, just to mention a few, advocated for the retrieval of his by tagging the YouTube twitter handles.
The name was changed to “Microstrategy” and it was used to stream a fundraiser and live session about cryptocurrency, with American entrepreneur known as Michael J. Saylor spearheading.
All this while, fans were wondering because Wode Maya failed to utter a word as fans kept sending messages across for the reinstatement of his channel.
Well, the good news finally came on Saturday, February 25, as he announced on twitter that he’s back. He reacted by thanking fans and well-wishers for showing love and support.
Wode Maya is poised to tell compelling African stories as his contents have mainly be on Pan-Africanism.
