George Afriyie’s legal team obtains interlocutory injunction, preventing GFA from holding the 2023 election.

George Afriyie, a former vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has sought a court injunction to prevent the upcoming elections for the association.

The GFA elections committee prohibited Mr. Afriyie from running in the elections set for Tamale on October 5, 2023.

A few days ago, the astute football executive who was running for the GFA presidency had his appeal rejected.

Mr. Afriyie has obtained a court order preventing the much-discussed GFA elections from taking place until his case has been resolved completely.

The bankroller of Planners FC was challenging Kurt Okraku for the GFA presidency after losing it four years prior.
