Kwesi Nyantakyi Claims Attempt to Prevent Release of Number 12 Video

Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has alleged that he made an offer to investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to prevent the release of the infamous Number 12 video. Nyantakyi made this claim during an interview with Captain Smart as the host at Onua TV.

According to Nyantakyi, Anas had initially requested a sum of $150,000 to refrain from making the video public, which allegedly exposed corruption in Ghanaian football. However, Nyantakyi stated that he offered $100,000 in an attempt to prevent the video’s release.

“I gave them $100,000, but they told me the amount was inadequate and later went ahead to release the video,” Nyantakyi revealed during the interview.

The Number 12 video, produced by Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team, rocked the Ghanaian football fraternity upon its release, implicating several high-ranking officials, including Nyantakyi, in acts of corruption and bribery.

Nyantakyi’s admission raises questions about the behind-the-scenes negotiations and attempts to suppress the incriminating footage. While Nyantakyi maintains that he made efforts to prevent the video’s release, Anas and his team have yet to respond to these claims.

The revelation adds another layer of intrigue to the already controversial saga surrounding the Number 12 exposé, shedding light on the lengths some individuals allegedly went to in order to protect their interests and reputation.

As the fallout from the Number 12 video continues to reverberate throughout the Ghanaian football landscape, Nyantakyi’s allegations serve as a reminder of the complexities and ethical dilemmas inherent in investigative journalism and the pursuit of justice.
