Asawase: I’ll invest in education rather than buy votes – Muntaka

Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament and Parliamentary Candidate for Asawase, has made a bold and commendable commitment to his constituents, vowing never to engage in the unethical practice of vote-buying by distributing money in exchange for votes.

Instead, he has pledged to prioritize investments in education, focusing on the long-term development and empowerment of his constituency’s children.

At a recent donation ceremony, where he generously presented desks to local schools, Muntaka emphasized his dedication to empowering the youth through education, rather than resorting to short-term financial handouts that offer little to no sustainable benefits.
He stated, “I will never share money with anyone in exchange for votes. It’s my responsibility as a leader to think about your future and that of your children.
Giving money is not only insulting but also a disservice to the community. The youth need education to improve their lives, acquire skills, and become productive citizens.”

Muntaka’s commitment to education is a testament to his vision for a better future for his constituents. He recognizes that education is the key to unlocking the potential of individuals, communities, and the nation as a whole.
By investing in education, he aims to create a more informed, skilled, and engaged citizenry that can contribute meaningfully to the development of the country.

Furthermore, Muntaka addressed his party members, particularly in the Zongo communities, urging them to exercise caution and responsibility as the general elections approach.

He stressed the importance of unity, peaceful engagement, and respectful dialogue, warning against the consequences of insults, skirmishes, and divisive actions that can undermine the democratic process.

He encouraged his constituents to reflect on the benefits of democracy, the importance of peaceful coexistence, and the impact of their actions on the community.

By expanding the text, I’ve added more details and emphasized Muntaka’s commitment to education and his vision for a better future for his constituents. I’ve also highlighted the importance of peaceful engagement and responsible behavior during the election period.
