Accra, Ghana, will play host to a landmark sporting event as Es Sportmanagement unveils the first edition of The Ultimate Scouting Tournament in West Africa.
Scheduled to take place over two action-packed days, the tournament will run from April 1 to April 2, 2025, bringing together some of the region’s most talented young footballers.
The tournament will feature 14 specially U19 selected teams, with five of them hailing from neighboring West African nations Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, and Niger.
This cross-border collaboration underscores the tournament’s mission to provide a platform for young talent across the region to showcase their skills.
A unique highlight of the event is the presence of representatives and directors from European football clubs, further cementing its importance on the global football calendar.
Scouts from Austria, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Albania, and Belgium will be in attendance, with their eyes firmly set on identifying the next generation of stars.
“The Ultimate Scouting Tournament is more than just a competition; it is a celebration of West African football talent and a bridge to greater opportunities,” said Edi Schmickl, one of the tournament’s organizers, alongside Augustine Awiah, Ayomah Michael, Dr. Stephen Odonkor and Farado Luchi.
Beyond the matches, participants and attendees will have the opportunity to connect off the pitch during the post-tournament festivities.
The event will conclude with a vibrant evening featuring refreshments, local cuisine, and networking to foster camaraderie and lasting partnerships.
