The Western Regional Football Association (WRFA) has once again entrusted the Nzema enclave with hosting duties for the upcoming 2025/26 Middle League, confirming the Axim Youth Resource Centre as the official venue.
This latest decision means Nzema will host the prestigious competition for the third time in just three seasons—a remarkable show of confidence in the area’s organizational capacity and football infrastructure.
Historically, Nzema has played a central role in the Middle League in recent years. The 2020/21 and 2023/24 editions were both staged at the Aiyinase CAM Park, where the region witnessed intense competition among Division Two clubs battling for qualification to the national stage.
However, an intriguing pattern has emerged. Despite successfully hosting the previous editions, neither tournament concluded with a grand finale game—raising concerns among stakeholders and fans about the competition’s closure structure and overall organization.
With the spotlight now shifting to Axim for the 2025/26 edition, expectations are high that the WRFA and local organizers will not only deliver a well-coordinated tournament but also ensure a proper climax with a grand finale to crown the champions.
Football enthusiasts across the Western Region will be watching closely, hopeful that this year’s Middle League in Nzema will break the trend and provide a fitting conclusion to what promises to be another fiercely contested campaign.
