Akosua Ago Aboagye Resigns from Peace FM After 20 Years—Set to Join Sompa 106.5 FM

The Ghanaian media landscape has been hit with a major shake-up as veteran broadcaster Akosua Ago Aboagye has officially resigned from Peace 104.3 FM after two decades of dedicated service.

Aboagye, known for her authoritative voice and impeccable news delivery, took to Facebook to announce her departure, expressing deep gratitude to Despite Media for an incredible 20-year journey. Her resignation has left many in the industry stunned, given her long-standing association with the media giant.

Though Aboagye did not disclose her next destination in her farewell message, Sirr Joe Updates has exclusively confirmed that she is set to take on a leadership role at Sompa 106.5 FM, an Accra-based subsidiary of Terraone Media. She is expected to spearhead the station’s news department, bringing her wealth of experience and credibility to the new brand.

With Sompa FM currently in its test transmission phase ahead of its official launch in March, Aboagye’s arrival signals the station’s intent to become a formidable force in the Ghanaian media space.
