Kennedy Agyapong in documentary called “Who watches the Watchman” said Anas is a blackmailer, corrupt, and an extortionist who extort money from people in his investigative journalism tapes.
Anas filed a suit against him on the grounds of defamation of character.
The Accra High Court presided over by Eric Baah J on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, dismissed the defamation lawsuit against Kennedy Agyapong saying that what Anas is engaged in is not investigative journalism but rather investigative terrorism; Agyapong was justified to call Anas “a blackmailer, corrupt, an extortionist, & evil.”
Speaking to journalists after the court hearing, Mr Kennedy Agyapong said “Anas has to come out and apologise. All I am saying is the victory is for Kwasi Nyantakyi.”

The plaintiff, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, through TigerEyePi has released a statement in response to the court ruling.
“We find the decision of the court an unfortunate travesty of justice and very inimical to the administration of justice and fairness.”
The release also states Mr. Kennedy Agyapong displayed disdain and disrespect of the Court and the lawyers of Anas but all attempts to cute him for contempt hit a dead end.
