The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a rescheduling of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers between Ghana and Sudan.
The two crucial matches will now take place on Thursday, October 10, and Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Initially scheduled for October 11 and 14, the fixtures have been adjusted to accommodate CAF’s new timeline.
The Black Stars will host the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 10, before traveling to Benina, Libya, for the return leg at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium on October 15.
These matches are critical for Ghana, who currently sit third in Group F with just one point from two games. Victories in both matches against Sudan are essential for Ghana to boost their chances of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON, which will be hosted in Morocco.
With the stakes high, Ghana’s squad, including debutant Isaac Afful and returning stars, will be eager to secure back-to-back wins and revive their AFCON qualification hopes.
