In Group B of the upcoming CAF TotalEnergies Africa Women’s Champions League, the Ghanaian Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies have been matched alongside AS FAR Club of Morocco, AS Mande of Mali, and Huracanes FC of Equatorial Guinea.
The Techiman-based team won the WAFU Zone B competition after defeating Nigerian club Delta Queens 1:0 in the final to claim the Zone title.
Before facing AS Mande and Huracanes FC, the Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ season will begin with a matchup against the reigning Moroccan champions, AS FAR.
The host team, Atheletico FC of the Ivory Coast, will compete in Group A alongside Sporting Casablanca of Egypt, the tournament’s previous victor, Mamelodi Sundown Ladies of South Africa, and JKT Queens of Tanzania.
The final of the CAF Women’s Champions League is slated to take place in Cote d’Ivoire from November 5–19, 2023.
