The 2022/23 MTN FA Cup Champions, Dreams FC have confirmed that the club will participate in the CAF confederations Cup next season.
Dreams FC secured the nod to Africa, after thrashing King Faisal FC 2-0 in the final at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese. Two first half goals, was enough to propel the Dawu outfit to victory on the day.
By virtue of clinching the title, Dreams FC ought to represent Ghana at the next CAF Inter-Club competitions. However, rumours suggested the Still Believe side had no financial muscle to support their campaign in Africa.
In a letter cited by sstvgh.com , confirms Dreams FC are ready to exhibit high profile football in Africa next season. It mark their first-ever moment in Africa.
“In it’s recent deliberations with Management, the Board of Dreams Football Club is pleased to announce to its various stakeholders the decision to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup”
“The club is eligible to play in Africa’s second-tier club competition following it’s historic feat in the MTN FA Cup.
“Dreams FC have already applied for and been duly issued the licence by the instant body to make it’s first-ever appearance in an African club competition”
“Management is already working assiduously to prevent a formidable side for this task and now awaits the draw for the first preliminary round, expected in August”, statement reads.
