Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey nears full fitness for Brighton pre-season

Tariq Lamptey nears injury return after commencing rehabilitation. He could not end the 2022-23 English Premier league on a good note after picking injury in the close end of the campaign.

The medical team, after close assessment to his injury, handed a medical greenlight to join his other Brighton and Hove Albion teammates for preseason ahead of the 2023/24 season for soon.

The wing-back who suffered the injury in Brighton and Hove Albion Premier League game against West Ham United in February has been out for four months. In the aforementioned game, he saw only 16 minutes and was taken off.

He was expected to make a return after 8 weeks, but the setbacks denied him the return.

The 22-year-old has now recovered and will be declared fully fit very soon to start preseason- where the Seagulls will warm themselves up with series of friendly games for the new season including one against Spanish Laliga side Rayo Vallacano.
