Hafiz Konkoni who joined the Tanzanian Premier League from Ghana has begun training with his new club, Young Africans.
He joined the Yanga Boys on a two-year contract from Ghanaian club Bechem United FC with option to renew the contract for additional one year.
The 23-year old has hit the gym with his teammates, to begin the first phase of their preseason training. Konkoni who previously played for Bolga All Stars SC registered 15 goals in the 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League for the Hunters.
He finished the season as second top scorer having played 25 matches.
His performance earned him an invitation to the Ghana senior national team ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar in June.
With his vast experience in the Ghanaian top-flight for over 7-seasons he is expected to strengthen attacking department Young Africans SC when the 2023-24 league campaign starts especially in the CAF Champions League.
