Accra Hearts of Oak has issued a statement about the Federation of International Football Association’s directive that former Coach Slavko Matic be paid USD 14, 002 for contractual violations that led to the Serbian coach’s dismissal.
The Accra-based team claimed they had already made attempts to pay off the debt and were in accordance with FIFA’s directive.
Halfway through his contract with the Phobians for the 2022/2023 BetPawa Premier League, Slavco Matic experienced a falling-out, which resulted in an odd departure. The Club’s fan base even forbade him from attending practice.
Hearts also stated that Coach took loans from the club but failed to mention that to FIFA. The communique also stated that they referred the matter to their lawyers and will update the public on any further developments.
