Ghanaian dancehall and afrobeats artiste, Mzvee has disclosed in an interview that she can’t have a clear vision when performing on stage.
According to “Come and See My Mother” hitmaker, she’s been wearing glasses since she was young. She further stated, she should have been wearing glasses earlier but her parents couldn’t notice her vision impairment until her class teachers informed them.
When asked how long she’s been wearing medicated glasses, she replied;
“since I was 8 years old and it should have been earlier but they found out because my teachers had to call my Mom and Dad and told them that, everytime I was like this(gesticulated how she get her book close to her eyes to see well) when I was trying to write, that’s how the knew that, but I couldn’t see from a long time ago, since I was born, yeah”.

She was then asked how does she see when performing, and she replied;
“that’s the nice part (with laughter), I don’t really see unless I really take a good look when standing, but not really. So it helped me when I started music because I was very nervous on stage and I really didn’t like the crowd so it really helped because when I get on stage, I would not see anybody”.
