Inaki Williams of Athletic Bilbao is focused on breaking his goal drought for Ghana when the Black Stars take on Mexico in a friendly on Saturday.
Williams, who made his international debut in a friendly match against Brazil in May 2022, has gone nine games without scoring. On Saturday, he is anticipated to make his tenth appearance for Ghana.
The 29-year-old stated he enjoys playing for Ghana in a press conference before the international friendly against Mexico in Charlotte on Saturday. He also expressed his desire to break his goal drought against the Mexicans.
It is a crucial contest for him. I believe that the Ghanaian people are on our side, and I will exert every effort to score my first goal in this game,’ Inaki added.
“I don’t have a lot of matches with my teammates, so it hasn’t been easy for me, but this is football,” the player said. I want to score my first goal since I adore playing football and football games.
Mexico has talented footballers and very diligent citizens. This game won’t be simple, but Ghana has excellent players, and we’ll fight to win,” he continued.
