Mareme Edet aka Uglygalz in an interview with Business insider on Pulse Nigeria averred that she’s an adult entertainer but many will like to call her sex worker or prostitute.
She explained why doing videos to entertain adults is different from a sex worker.
According to her, those involved in the porn videos are well diagnosed in regards of any infections and reports will be checked before they get recruited so she can’t meet any random person and have sex with the person. So before they will involve in any sexual act, they know they’re both medically okay unlike the sex workers who have random sex with any person they meet.
She also continued that, she acts and get paid for what she enjoys so her money comes from acting and not sex for money.
Talking about profitable in regards to porn acting, the Nigerian porn actress and CEO of “Uglygalz” revealed that, pornstars can make $3000 – $10,000 or more in a month.
She also noted that, she wants her children and grandchildren to enjoy the videos she’s making in the near future and that’s why she takes her porn acting serious with uploading them on websites.
When asked about her ambitions, the she asserted that she want to see a porn industry in Nigeria like the Nollywood and eventually, also wants Nigerian them to receive accolades like the other mega pornstars in the world. She used Nigeria music awards “The Headies” as a reference.
She also explained why ladies get paid more than the guys.
Men can be acting porn and still have an easy way to marriage but it’s not the same for women. People look at these two genders differently in the society, she noted.
