Former president John Dramani Mahama is seeking the nod to lead of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to lead them in 2024 general elections.
Many were thinking if the formal president who is still eligible to occupy the presidential seat after being in office for only his first term as the voted president, will be trying to lead the opposition party again.
Well, he made his intentions of seeking the nod known on February 21, 2023, after he was visited in his residence in Accra by the Minority Caucus in Parliament.
On Wednesday, February 22, 2023, delegates led by Joshua Alabi, who is the campaign manager for John Dramani Mahama, picked the nomination form in the name of the former president which went for GHS 30,000.
Speaking on John Dramani Mahama’s decision to join the NDC flagbearership race, Joshua Alabi had this to say;
“At this point, we need a Messiah and that Messiah is John Mahama”
