Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr one week observed

Today, May 30, at Trede, off the Obuasi Road, family, friends, and coworkers of the late Highlife Musician Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr observed his one-week observation.



Numerous Ghanaian musicians, including Strongman, Nicholas Omane Acheampong, and friends of the late singer’s son Akwaboah Jr., sent their support to the grieving family.

At the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Kwadwo Akwaboah passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.



The announcement of his departure was made by his son Akwaboah Jnr in an Instagram post where he uploaded a picture of his father and said, “RIP DADDY.”

The late 60-year-old guitarist, producer, and keyboardist Kwadwo Akwaboah was a gifted musician. Along with Kojo Antwi, Rex Omar, the late Nana Kwame Ampadu, Jewel Ackah, and C.K. Mann, he has collaborated with other notable musicians from Ghana, such as C.K. Mann.



He also participated in the Oheneba Ntim Barima Band, the Marriott Band, and the bands led by his late father, Master Bob Kwabena Akwaboah Snr.
