Manchester United have confirmed Bruno Fernandes will lead the team as the captain for the upcoming season.
Following the axing of English defender Harry Maguire at Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes has been appointed new team captain.
Bruno had the opportunity to wear the armband more times, after Maguire got retired to the bench with lack of game times will continue wearing the armband having been selected to continue in the leadership role by Eric Ten Hag.
English defender Harry Maguire last week confirmed manager Eric Ten Hag told him, he wasn’t going to have the armband this time around.
“As captain, the two-time Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year will continue to drive the highest standards throughout the squad as United push for success in the 2023/24 season and beyond,” the club stated in an official statement.
