The announcement of Vincent Atingah Addae’s departure from Medeama marks the end of his two and half year tenure there, during which he won two trophies and other individual honors that solidified his legacy there.
Atingah, 29, transferred for free from Kuwaiti team Al Shabab to the Mauve and Yellows in March 2021.
The center back had a stellar career in Tarkwa, as he amassed 21 goals over the course of two seasons, making him the top scorer among defenders in the Ghana Premier League.
After Monday’s training, he bid his teammates and the coaches farewell.
“A man’s career must reach a point where he must move on. “I leave Medeama with wonderful memories, and the club will always have a special place in my heart.
“Tarkwa has had exciting times recently, and we take pride in becoming the first club to ever win the Premier League.
“It’s wonderful to be a part of such a remarkable achievement. I hope the club has a prosperous future. My home will always be Tarkwa.
“I want to thank the Club President and his wife, the board, management, colleagues, coaches, as well as our fantastic fans, for the support and encouragement over the period.”
Atingah won both the Super Cup and the 2022–23 Ghana Premier League.
He was also named the 2022–23 Player of the Season in the Ghana Premier League.
Atingah departs from Medeama with the utmost respect and gratitude from everyone connected to the club.
