In a strategic move aimed at fortifying their position in the Ghanaian football scene, Medeama Sporting Club has officially welcomed Nebojsa Kapor as their new Head Coach.
The 37-year-old Bosnian tactician has inked a one-year deal with the option for a two-year renewal and is set to bring his unique blend of expertise to the reigning champions.
Kapor’s appointment marks a significant transition as he steps into the shoes of the esteemed Evans Augustine Adotey, who will return to his pivotal role as the club’s Technical Director.
With previous experience in the Ghanaian domestic arena, notably with Tema Youth and Bechem United, Kapor is no stranger to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Medeama Sporting Club’s decision to entrust Kapor with the leadership role stems from their belief in his tactical acumen, developmental focus, and unwavering commitment to success.
The club sees him as the ideal candidate to build upon the foundation laid by Adotey and steer the team towards continued excellence.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Kapor conveyed, “I am very happy to be here and also contribute to the success drive of the champions. This is an ambitious club, and I’m happy with everything going on here in Tarkwa.”
He acknowledged Adotey’s contributions, stating, “He’s done a great job and deserves a pat on the shoulder. But it’s time for another hand to continue from where he left off in our pursuit to achieve excellence.”
Known for his high-energy and eye-catching coaching style, Kapor is also recognized as a talent spotter with a knack for unlocking the full potential of young players within a cohesive squad ethos.
His vision for Medeama includes challenging for trophies in the upcoming season, bridging the gap on the league table, and setting the club on a trajectory for continued success.
Pending finalization and approval by the Ghana Football Association, Kapor is poised to take full charge of the team, bringing his UEFA Licence A badge from the Croatia Football Federation to the forefront.
Born in Serbia, Kapor’s diverse coaching experience includes serving as a technical director for Football Schools and Camp Leotar Trebinje Premier League in Bosnia, as well as heading the University Football team at Normal University, Hefei.
As the documentation process unfolds, Medeama Sporting Club and its fans eagerly anticipate the era of Nebojsa Kapor – the architect poised to shape the club’s destiny on the Ghanaian football stage.
