Manhyia has appointed two officials to represent Asante Kotoko SC at the upcoming Ghana Football Association’s 29th Ordinary Congress.
According to Kessben FM/TV in Kumasi, Manhyia has chosen Henry Ohene Brenya who is the team manager of the club and Richard Akoto who happens to be the IT manager to represent the outfit at the congress.
The decision is as a result of Manhyia dissolving both the Management of the club and board of directors following the expiration of their tenure. The board were handed a three-year term of office to steer the affairs of the Premiership club asuch, had the power to appoint a Chief executive officer.
Therefore, by virtue of board dissolution management team will not function.
And with the 29th Ordinary Congress scheduled for next week the club ought to be present asuch, the necessity of appointing Henry Ohene Brenya and Richard Akoto.
Their appointments will replace the CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah and Administrative Manager Emmanuel Dasoberi during the congress, which is scheduled to take place on July 10, 2023, at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.
Meanwhile, Manhyia will announce the new direction and road map of Asante Kotoko SC after the Congress next week.
