The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) claims that proximity was a factor in the choice to hold this year’s tournament in Kumasi.

Winner of the 2022–23 Betpawa premier league, Medeama will go off against Aduana, Bechem United, and Asante Kotoko, who finished second, third, and fourth, respectively.

The 2023 GHALCA Top Four tournament is slated on August 20-27 in Kumasi

Last year, the 2022 GHALCA top 6 competition, which featured Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, Karela United, Bechem United, Berekum Chelsea, and Medeama SC, was won by Accra Great Olympics.
