On Friday, July 22, 2023 the Life Patron of Asante Kotoko SC, Otumfou Osei Tutu II revealed the financial state of the club after receiving the management’s report.
The erstwhile Management of the club, has disclosed that despite Kotoko having sponsorship deals with Hisense, Star Life, National Lottery Authority (NLA), Zeepay, Betika, Errea amongst other still has debt to clear.
According to him, the club would have to settle an amount of GHC3,533,424 as debt, which comprise of salary, NOKs Hotel, Seydou Zerbo’s parting ways agreement, players salaries etc.
However, the club has over ¢8m with sponsors and other entities, excluding Danlad’s $200,000.
An amount of ¢9.1m is the receivables with an expected guaranteed FIFA World Cup Club Benefits Programme of Danlad Ibrahim ¢200,000.
