Wa Power FC, a team that was just promoted to Access Bank Division One, is led by Chief Executive Officer Musah Salifu, who has his sights set on playing in the prestigious Ghana Premier League “as soon as possible.”
Only three years have passed since they successfully transitioned from the second division to the first division league. Thus, this extraordinary goal is rather recent.
After Wa All Stars left the Premier League three years ago, Salifu asserts that Wa township must now watch Premier League football in an extraordinary display of tenacity and strategic foresight.
Wa Power FC has rapidly risen through the ranks of Ghanaian football under the innovative CEO’s direction. The football community has been enthralled by their recent successes, and seasoned analysts and experts have taken notice.
In spite of the difficulties, the team has been successful under my leadership since I took over three years ago, Mr Musah confirmed.
“In our first season, we were unable to advance to the middle; in our second season, we were unable to accomplish the same as we placed second. But this year, we accomplished a fantastic achievement by going 19 games without a loss, 14 games in the group stages, 11 victories, 3 draws, and 5 games in the middle league and won all the 5 games.
The CEO wants to capitalize on the team’s recent success and take them to the top of Ghanaian football with a clear and well-defined path. The CEO’s unfailing confidence in the team’s talents is reflected in this ambitious goal, which also demonstrates their dedication to excellence.
At this point, he stated, “my goal is to get the team into the Premier League as soon as possible.”
We won’t stop working until we’ve succeeded in doing this. It won’t be simple, but it is possible.
Salifu claimed that in order to succeed in this difficult task, he must implement a thorough plan that concentrates on numerous important factors.
By upgrading the club’s youth development program, investing in top-tier talent acquisition, and developing a winning culture that instills a feeling of belief and drive in the players, he seeks to build on the team’s solid foundation.
He also added that the team will look into strategic alliances and sponsorships to get the funds required for infrastructure improvements and cutting-edge training facilities, urging business in Ghana to step up and assist the team in its aspirations to succeed.
