Six people were detained by the Trede police command for stealing two pigs in Trede in Ghana’s Ashanti region.
The six guys reportedly traveled to Trede as laborers, and after their work there, they stole two pigs that belonged to the committee chairman of the neighborhood, according to a report by Asomadu Darkwah of Kessben FM’s Breaking News.
The committee chairman went to the closest information center to make a statement about his missing pigs after finding two of his animals were missing.
After the announcement, someone told the committee chairman that he had observed several individuals working on the meat at an unfinished structure where a pig had been butchered.
The committee chairman instantly phoned the police, who quickly descended on the scene to take the six into custody.
They were required to bring the meat with them to the police station.
