Brighton & Hove Albion Fc secures Ansu Fati signature on loan

Ansu Fati will be on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club from FC Barcelona through June 30, 2024, according to an agreement the two parties reached. A permanent transfer is not an option.

After spending his formative years at Barça, Ansu Fati will continue his football development in the Premier League. The striker joined FC Barcelona as a 10-year-old from the Sevilla development system in 2012, and after beginning with the U12A squad, he advanced fast before making the main team.

He made his league debut in 2019 at the age of 16 against Betis while donning the number 31 shirt. He scored his first goal for the club six days later against Osasuna in another league match.

The young forward Ansu Fati’s statistics from the 2019–20 season demonstrated his talent. He made 33 appearances during that season, 15 of which were as a starter, scoring eight goals and adding one assist. In addition, he established a number of records, including the youngest starter in Club history and the youngest player to both score and produce an assist in a league game.

Fati officially joined the first team for the 2020–21 campaign and assumed the number 22 jersey. However, a knee injury and subsequent surgery forced him to miss the majority of the season in what appeared to be the year in which he would solidify his status as one of the greatest attackers in Europe.

The striker, who is now playing in the number 10 jersey, made a comeback in September 2021. Since then, he has participated in 69 games and scored 16 goals.
