The Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has cautioned all members of Parliament to desist from commenting on the IGP leaked tape in the media until the full report is ready and submitted to House.
Speaker’s directive came up when the House began debate on committee’s report then misunderstood and accusations broke out on the floor where some members of the minority accused the chairman, Mr Samuel Atta-Akyea for being the reason the report was delayed and upon all, he refused to sign the report.
In responding and justifying why he refused to sign the report as a chairman, Mr Atta-Akyea said, he has refused to sign the committee’s report because, some evidence which came before the committee in-camera has been taken out especially where the report talks about an alleged serial killings of some people believe to be nationals from our neighbouring countries and the was reported to the IGP but failed to act.
Based on these wild allegations and accusations, the Rt Hon Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin ended the debate on the report and urged the committee to go back and work on the report again then submit a well completed report to the House.
