Stop talking, my son didn’t kill anyone with a gun’ – Salifu Amoako

Bishop Salifu Amoako, the esteemed leader of Alive Chapel International, has made a heartfelt appeal for calm and an end to speculation regarding the tragic car accident involving his 16-year-old son.

The accident, which occurred on October 12, 2024, in East Legon, claimed the lives of two young girls and has since sparked widespread debate and public scrutiny.

Addressing his congregation on Sunday, October 20, Bishop Amoako expressed frustration with the ongoing discussions surrounding the accident.
He emphasized that the incident was an unfortunate event rather than a deliberate act, stressing that his son had not committed an intentional crime.

“It was an accident,” Bishop Amoako clarified. “My son did not carry a gun to kill anybody. He involved himself in a terrible accident, and I am not the one who did it, nor his mother. It is my name, that is why people are talking.”

Bishop Amoako attributed the heightened public interest in the case to his well-known status. “If this had been an Okada accident, who would mention it? It’s only because of my name,” he added.
The bishop urged his followers and the public to trust in divine intervention and allow due process to unfold.

The accident, which involved a Jaguar driven by Bishop Amoako’s son, resulted in a fatal fire that trapped and killed the two girls.
Questions have been raised about the circumstances leading to the tragic crash, including how a 16-year-old came to be driving a luxury vehicle.

Bishop Amoako asked his followers and the public to remain patient and allow the truth to come to light.
He previously apologized to the families of the victims, kneeling before them in a gesture of remorse. This display of empathy and accountability has earned him respect from many.

As the investigation into the accident continues, Bishop Amoako’s appeal for calm and patience serves as a reminder of the importance of awaiting the facts.
The bishop’s commitment to transparency and accountability has been reassuring to many, and his leadership during this difficult time has been commendable.

In the face of tragedy, Bishop Amoako’s words encourage Ghanaians to come together in support of the affected families, rather than perpetuating speculation and division.

As the nation mourns the loss of two young lives, Bishop Amoako’s message of hope, faith, and resilience resonates deeply.
