Westline Entertainment, organizers of the prestigious Western Music Awards have opened nominations for the 7th edition. This awards scheme which started in 2017 have seen winners like Kofi Kinaata, Ayesem, Fameye, DopeNation, Keche, Aya RamzyB, Nero X, and host of other top acts.
The scheme which had 30 categories last year is trimmed to 29 this year. “Most streamed artiste of the year” is stripped off based on conflicting numbers from different streaming platforms artistes presented last year. Going forward, the scheme have deemed it necessary to come out with clear definition which will be much fixated on particular streaming platforms they will use to determine eventual winners. Nana Kwesi Coomson, the Head of Public Relations for the scheme noted the category stated above is currently out and pending the Board’s final decision.
Works of Artistes and other stakeholders from February 2022 to January 2023 are considered eligible for this year’s Western Music Awards.
The deadline for nominations is April 30, 2023.
Deadline for submission is April 30, 2923 and all entries should be submitted via www.wmagh.com
