CHRIS HUGHTON NAMES 24 MAN SQUAD TO FACE   MADAGASCAR IN THE AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS QUALIFIER

Ghana’s team has been selected by Chris Hughton for the match against Madagascar in Group E of the Africa Cup of Nations. On June 18, 2023, the Black Stars Coach will lead a squad of 24 players to Antananarivo.

Alidu Seidu and Kwasi Okyere Wreidt return to the squad, and Ernest Nuamah, who is based in Denmark, is called up for the first time for the senior national team after an impressive performance for Nordsjaelland in the Danish Superliga.

Additionally, the Amiens defender Nicholas Opoku, the Moldova-based Patrick Kpozo, and the Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru are all being called up.

With eight points after two victories and two draws in the first four games, Ghana tops their group for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire in June.



On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 17H00, the game will take place at Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo.
