The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially approved the Accra Sports Stadium as the venue for Ghana’s upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier. The Black Stars will host Sudan at the iconic stadium on Friday, October 11, 2024.

This approval follows CAF’s recent withdrawal of approval for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium due to technical infractions. With the Accra Sports Stadium now confirmed, Ghana can confidently proceed with their preparations for the crucial qualifier against Sudan.

The match is a pivotal fixture for the Black Stars as they look to secure their spot in the 2025 AFCON tournament. Fans are expected to fill the Accra Sports Stadium to rally behind the national team in what promises to be an exciting and competitive encounter.

More details on ticketing and match logistics will be announced in the coming days as Ghana seeks to maintain its strong form in the qualifiers.
