Election 2024: Don’t be swayed by money, vote for policies – Asiedu Nketiah

Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has emphasized the importance of prioritizing policies and long-term vision over financial incentives from the opposition when voting.

Speaking in Afrancho-Akomadan, Offinso North Constituency, Ashanti Region, he cautioned that accepting money in exchange for votes compromises meaningful development and hinders community progress.

The NDC has a track record of development in the Ashanti Region, as evident in their past projects. For instance, they constructed the all-new Kejetia Market, expanded access to water, built hospitals and markets in the districts, and extended electricity to many communities. Additionally, the Kumasi Airport was transformed to enable flights to take off and land around the clock.

Under the $10 billion Big Push initiative, the NDC plans to invest in more hospitals, schools, and road infrastructure in the Ashanti Region. This includes constructing two new interchanges at Anloga Junction and the Suame Roundabout to alleviate traffic congestion in the Kumasi metropolis. Furthermore, the party aims to dualize the Accra-Kumasi Highway to make travel safer and quicker.

Asiedu Nketiah urged voters to support candidates committed to sustainable growth and effective governance, emphasizing that the NDC’s focus is on equitable distribution of development projects across the country.

The NDC’s vision for the Ashanti Region aligns with their overall commitment to Ghana’s development.

By prioritizing policies and long-term vision, voters can contribute to meaningful progress and a brighter future for their communities.
