Givova Sporting Academy, a Division Two side based in Sekondi, brought the curtain down on a successful campaign with a vibrant end-of-season dinner held at the Sekondi Youth Centre on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
The event brought together players, supporters, club officials, and members of the public in a lively atmosphere filled with joy, reflection, and celebration. It was a moment for the entire Givova family to unwind and appreciate the collective effort that defined their season.
Addressing the gathering, the technical team, led by head coach Mr. Paa Kwesi and assisted by Coach Tony, commended the players for their dedication and resilience throughout the campaign. They particularly highlighted the team’s impressive run to the semi-finals of the WRFA Super Middle League, describing it as a testament to the squad’s hard work and determination.
“The players have shown great commitment and discipline. Reaching the semi-finals is no small achievement, and we are proud of what we have accomplished together,” Coach Paa Kwesi noted.
Club owner Mr. Emmanuel Freeman also took the opportunity to express his appreciation to everyone associated with the club. In his remarks, he acknowledged the challenges faced during the season but praised the unity and perseverance that carried the team through difficult moments.
“We faced our fair share of challenges, but the spirit within this team kept us going. I want to thank the players, technical team, management, and supporters for standing strong,” he said.
Looking ahead, Mr. Freeman assured fans and stakeholders of the club’s ambition to reach greater heights. He revealed that management, in collaboration with the technical team, is committed to strengthening the squad and putting in the necessary measures to secure qualification to the Access Bank Division One League next season.
The evening was marked by music, laughter, and camaraderie, as attendees celebrated not just the end of a football season, but the unity and progress of a club determined to rise.
