Is Yaa Pono dissing Sarkodie and some industry players?

Tema based rapper, Yaa Pono, released his first track of the year 2023 titled “Yard” produced by “fox Beat” on January 25th. He’s one rapper you can’t take away his freestyling creativity and when it comes diss and beef, he’s a force to reckon with.

His beef with Shatta Wale still remains one of the biggest in the history of Ghana music so when he releases a new track, fans don’t go with the melodies alone but the lyrics.

His “Yard” track released recently is not short of subliminal addresses either.

In some part, he said some of the industry players fear him and if he’s a spoilt car, they’re not the ones to tow him.

What we deduce from that line is that, he’s trying to preach, if he’s having a dwindling career, those industry players are not the ones to lift him.

In another line, he affirmed that he holds the Tema street code and further asked when did you feature a ghost?

Every rapper sees himself as the best, something they call rappers ego and it’s part of the culture.
So here, Yaa Pono hammered that he’s the king of Tema, where Sarkodie, Omar Sterling, Opanka all hails from.

For the ghost line which seem to be a spinoff to the “Tema street code” line, not long ago Sarkodie was featured on late Bob Marley’s “stir it up” remix.
What Yaa Pono is trying to say is that, recently featuring or being featured by a ghost doesn’t make him the king of Tema.
