The Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) president Kurt Okraku has been chosen to serve another term.
On Thursday, October 5, 2023, during the association’s election convention in Tamale, the GFA retained his seat by majority votes by the delegate.
George Afriyie, Mr. Okraku’s main rival was disqualified for failing to collect the necessary number of signatures to support his candidacy, leaving Mr. Okraku without a challenger and therefore unopposed.
Out of 120 votes, he received 117 despite two delegates voting against him.
For the next four years, Kurt Okraku has been given the mandate and will continue to serve as the GFA’s president.
