Black Sherif has won the Best International Flow at 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards

The renowned rapper Black Sherif, often known as Blacko, won the coveted title of Best International Flow at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, marking an important victory for Ghanaian music.

Given his remarkable talent and unrelenting commitment to his art, his devoted fan following does not find this recognition surprising.

Black Sherif has previously been shortlisted for the same category in 2022, so this is not the first time his name has been on the nominations list. But this year, he was able to outperform his rivals, who included some of the most well-known figures in the global hip-hop scene.

Renowned performers like the UK rapper Central Cee, the French sensation Gazo, and the South African juggernaut AKA were among his rivals.

Black Sherif’s nomination in and of itself was evidence of his growing stature in the world of music. The Ghanaian musician has quickly ascended the celebrity ladder, garnering praise for his distinctive style and stirring lyrics. His music, which is distinguished by its genuine fusion of Afrobeat and hip-hop components, has struck a chord with listeners all over the world and has amassed an astounding 1 billion streams on Spotify alone.

Black Sherif’s illustrious career has reached yet another milestone with this triumph at the BET Hip Hop Awards. In recognition of his contributions to the African music landscape, he also won the coveted Artist of the Year award at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The event was taped in Atlanta on October 3, 2023, and it will be broadcast live on October 10, 2023, thus it should be emphasized that this footage appears to be a leak.
