CAF announced a new prize money structure for it’s Champions League and Confederation Cup. This was announced earlier this year by the President Dr. Patrice Motsepe.
The announcement saw prize monies for the two competition increase by 40% in line with Dr Motsepe’s commitment to
make African football competitions globally competitive and self-sustaining.
Last year CAF Champions League winner received 2.5 Million Dollars and CAF Confederation Cup winner also received 1.25 Million Dollars.
Now the winner of this year’s Total CAF Champions League will receive Four Million Dollars, an increase of 1.5 Million Dollars while the CAF Confederation Cup winner will also receive Two Million Dollars, an increase from 1.25 Million dollars for previous winners.
