Sekondi XI Wise FC Chairman & CEO, Dr. Kobina Spio-Garbrah, has announced a major restructuring of the club’s management and technical team in a bid to avoid relegation and push for Premier League promotion by 2026.

The restructuring, which comes under the patronage of Nana Professor Kobina Nketsia, includes new appointments, strict performance targets, and strengthened technical support to ensure the team’s competitiveness in the 2025 season.

Key Appointments and Directives

Joseph Adjei “Kofi Wayo” has been appointed as Deputy CEO, with authority to act in the absence of the CEO/Chairman.

Mr. George Eshun, a long-time supporter and retired public servant, has been promoted to ‘Senior Advisor to the CEO’, taking on a non-management external role.

Richie O’Dare, former CEO of Cornerstones and Phar Rangers, will prepare technical notes for the coaching team and work with management to plan match strategies.

Tetteh Engman has been appointed as goalkeepers’ coach to enhance the team’s defensive strength.

Assistant Coach Appiah Bosomtwi will lead morning bodybuilding and weight training sessions, set to begin on February 11, 2025.

Strict Performance Targets for Technical Team

Head coach to step down if the club loses two consecutive home games.
The technical team will meet before every match to strategize, with input from management and advisors.

Political and Community Support

Sekondi MP, Hon. Armah Blay, has pledged financial support for players’ winning bonuses.

The club will engage the new Western Regional Minister, MCE, and Council of State Representative for further backing.

This aggressive restructuring aims to stabilize Sekondi XI Wise FC, boost performance, and set the foundation for a strong Premier League push in 2026 while competing for the FA Cup in 2025.
