Frustrated supporters of Sekondi XI Wise FC disrupted the club’s training session on Thursday afternoon at the Railway Park in Essikado, demanding an urgent meeting with Executive Chairman Dr. Kobby Spio-Garbrah over the team’s poor performance in the Division One League.
With only three wins and one draw in fifteen matches, XI Wise sits at the bottom of the league table with just 10 points, facing the threat of relegation back to Division Two.
Concerned about the club’s future, supporters stormed the training grounds, preventing the players from practicing, and insisted on seeing the CEO for discussions on a way forward.
One of the protesting fans expressed frustration, stating that all previous attempts to meet Dr. Spio-Garbrah had been unsuccessful, prompting their action.
The incident follows a recent management and technical team restructuring, where strict performance targets were set to avoid relegation and push for Premier League promotion by 2026.
However, with the team struggling, supporters are demanding immediate intervention from the club’s leadership.
The club has yet to issue an official response regarding the supporters’ concerns.
