The Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) was the place to be as it hosted the 25th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, an event that brought together the crème de la crème of Ghana’s entertainment industry. The evening was a dazzling celebration of Ghanaian music and musicians, with standout performances and a list of deserving winners that highlighted the diverse talent within the industry.
Stonebwoy was the star of the night, taking home the prestigious Artiste of the Year award among other accolades. His collaboration with Angelique Kidjo, “Manodzi,” won the Record of the Year and Songwriter of the Year, further cementing his status as a leading figure in Ghanaian music. He also bagged the Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste and Album/EP of the Year awards.
The night saw other big winners such as Nacee, who took home the Best Gospel Artiste and Best Gospel Song awards for “Aseda.” King Promise won the Best AfroPop Song for “Terminator” and was named Best Afrobeat/AfroPop Artiste. His track “Terminator” also won the Most Popular Song of the Year.
