The GFA/CAF special License C Coaching Course for Female Coaches is taking place at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram with thirty female coaches.
The program, which aims to increase the proportion of female coaches in order to close the continent-wide gender gap in coaching, began on Monday, May 22, 2023.
Thirty female coaches who have already earned the Basic Certificate in coaching (GFA License D) and have coaching experience are enrolled in the course.
The CAF Licence C course is divided into two (2) modules, the first of which lasts for ten (10) days. Participants must then complete a thirty (30) day internship before returning for the second module.
Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah, Director of Coach Education, is in charge of the training, with guidance from Technical Director Bernhard Lippert, other GFA/CAF Instructors, and Head Coach of the Black Queens, Nora Hauptle. The course is entirely free for the 30 Women, as promised by the GFA during the Women’s Day festivities.
