Hon.George Mireku Duker donates GH₵8,000 to the LOC of WRFA division two league Zone 2 Grp D(Tarkwa-Nsuem Zone)

Hon.George Mireku Duker donates GH₵8,000 to the LOC of WRFA division two league Zone 2 Grp D(Tarkwa-Nsuem Zone)

Hon.George Mireku Duker(MP for Tarkwa-Nsuem and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources) has presented GH₵8,000 to the LOC of WRFA division two league Zone 2 Grp D(Tarkwa-Nsuem Zone)

The presentation was done by Kwadwo Sarfo,a member of Hon George Mireku Duker communication team on Sunday,February 12,2023, at Cyanide Astro Turf

This comes after the Member of Parliament has paid the full cost of the use of the Astro Turf for the season which is around ₵9,000.

The cash was received by the Chairman of the Tarkwa-Nsuem Municipal Football And also LOC Chairman for Zone 2 Group D,Mohammed Muntala Sapisty.

NB: Hon.George Mireku Duker is the headline sponsor for Zone Two, Group D of the 22/23 WRFA Division Two League and has promised to add more to have a successful league season.

Mr Kwadwo Sarfo presented the above mentioned amount on behalf of Hon. George Mireku Duker.
Speaking to Emmanuel Owu Jnr, PRO for Tarkwa-Nsuem Municipal Football, he noted, the Gh₵8,000 is the 3/4 of the amount requested by the LOC so the rest will be delivered prolly by the end of first round.
He further stated, the Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuem Municipal is doing all this to help develop talent and empower the youth in the constituency.

Chairman of the Tarkwa-Nsuem Municipal Football And also LOC Chairman for Zone 2 Group D, Mohammed Muntala Sapisty received the money in the name of the association.
When asked if the money will be delivered to the office of Western Region Football Association at large, Mohammed Muntala Sapisty gave NO to that and elaborated,

“the president of Western Regional Football Association believes in the LOC and he knows what we can do, hence, the money will remain in Tarkwa”.

On the part of sharing the money amongst teams in the Tarkwa-Nsuem Municipal, Muhammad Muntala Sapisty emphatically made it clear that no monies will be shared to teams directly.

“What we’re about to do with the money is the budget we sent to Hon. George Mireku Duker, the money will used for expenses on the astroturf, man of the match prices, medals for league winners and certificates. We will use all the money help the teams in such ways so no money will be shared to them”.
