Medeama issues a statement on the home venue for the CAF Champions League.

The Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi has not been chosen by Medeama Sporting Club as its home venue for the group stage of the 2023–24 CAF Champions League, we would like to bring to the attention of our followers and the sporting community.

In anticipation of inspection and approval from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the continent’s regulatory body, the club has selected the T and A Stadium in Tarkwa as their first alternative.

Currently, just TWO venues have been accepted for the group stage of the CAF inter-club competition: the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and the Cape Coast Stadium.

Along with the recently constructed T and A Stadium in Tarkwa, the two locations are being considered.

The team’s home stadium for the group stage was the Cape Coast Stadium, with a decision regarding the permanent location to be made soon.

We would like to use this chance to express our gratitude to Ghanaians for their overwhelming support of the club during the Africa top inter-club competition.

We are convinced that Ghanaians would show up in large numbers to support the team no matter the location picked for our home games.
