Former Accra Hearts Of Oak and Asante Kotoko star man, Charles Taylor, has shared his view on the step of retiring the Number 7 jersey of the Ghana Men’s National Team, Black Stars, by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Speaking on Angel TV, the former Black Stars player shared this view;
“Retiring Black Stars Jersey Number 7 in honour of Atsu is needless! Even Maradona’s shirt is not retired. When was the last time he Atsu was invited to the National team? We can build a monument in one of our stadia to honour his good deeds.”

This comes on the back of statement made by Linford Asamoah Boadu, Eastern Regional FA chairman, on Bryt FM in Eastern region, who said the EXCO is considering that.
The Ghana Football Association is yet to officially state this.
