Former Black Stars and Accra Hearts Of Oak defender, Dan Quaye, has slammed the current players and and head coach of Hearts Of Oak.
Hearts Of Oak haven’t had a smooth run in the league as expected after the appointment Slavko Matic in October 2022.
They currently sit 4th on the league table as Aduana Stars, Bechem United, and Asante occupies the 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions respectively.
On the back of this, Hearts Of Oak former defender, Dan Quaye, have lambasted the players for being lazy.

He was heard in an interview saying;
“if I look at the level I even train now, as I’m talking, I’ve finished my morning training and will resume for afternoon session, but when you look at how these boys play, you can see they’re not serious with their career. Because if you want to play for a foreign team outside, and you’re playing like this, how will you get the chance?”

Speaking on Coach Matic banning jama sessions before games, he said;
“As for the coach (Matic), he doesn’t know what he’s doing, he’s just here to build his CV so he should keep quiet. Where he comes from, Serbia, the traditional clubs don’t have customs? This is also our culture. Even Brazil does. During matches, you’ll see the likes of Neymar holding drums. Such things refreshes you as a player and scares the opponents. So if he’s here to build his CV, he should go ahead and build it well. Does he know the number of whites coaches Hearts Of Oak have had? Hearts is now cheap, if not, he doesn’t deserve to coach Hearts”.
