On Friday, September 1, 2023, the Wassa East Member of Parliament Hon. Isaac Adjei Mensah was a guest on Radio 360 90.1.
In 2012, Hon. Adjei Mensah ran for and won the Wassa East seat on the NDC ticket. He was re-elected in 2016 and 2020, respectively, to serve the constituency in the seventh and eight parliament of the fourth republic.
He has participated in a number of committees in parliament, including the Special Budget Committee, the House Committee, and the Education Committee. Additionally, he was the deputy minister for road and transport during the NDC regime.
He was asked why he hasn’t involved himself in Skyy FC to support the team since the team is in his constituency?
He answered that the owner of Skyy FC, Hon. Wilson Arthur had never asked him to assist the team or call on him in any way.
However, he backs the team because Skyy Fc plays in his constituency at Daboase.
He reiterated that he would assist them if Skyy FC owner Hon Wilson Arthur asked him to.
