In a significant development for sports infrastructure in Ghana, the Tarkwa TNA Stadium is set to be jointly managed by the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Tarkwa Municipal Assembly. The official handing over of the facility is scheduled to take place at the end of July.

The decision to share management responsibilities between the NSA and the Tarkwa Municipal Assembly reflects a strategic move to enhance the stadium’s operational efficiency and ensure its optimal use for various sporting and community events. This collaboration is expected to bring about better maintenance and more effective utilization of the stadium, which is a key asset for the region.

The Tarkwa TNA Stadium, which has been a central venue for local football matches and other sporting activities, will benefit from the combined expertise and resources of the NSA and the Municipal Assembly. This partnership aims to elevate the standard of the facility, making it a hub for sports development and community engagement in Tarkwa and beyond.

“The joint management of the Tarkwa TNA Stadium marks a new era for sports in this region,”  The Tarkwa Municipal Assembly and National Sports Authority to ensure that the stadium serves its intended purpose and meets the needs of athletes, fans, and the local community.”

The official handing over ceremony, set for the end of July, will mark the beginning of this collaborative management effort. Stakeholders from both the NSA and the Tarkwa Municipal Assembly are expected to attend, alongside local dignitaries, sports personalities, and community members.

This joint management initiative is poised to bring new opportunities and improvements to the Tarkwa TNA Stadium, enhancing its role as a key sporting venue in Ghana.
